Thank you for learning more about my art!

I’m happy to share my story with you. While I have loved art all my life, pursuing art as a professional hobby had to wait until I completed a 30 year plus career in Maryland public education. Being part of local artistic communities is now a special privilege for me. I’m grateful to be associated with the Florida Watercolor Society, the Maryland Watercolor Society, and Bonita Center for the Arts. My work has been displayed at the Art Partners Gallery in Clarksville, MD, the Redding Academy, Columbia, MD, as well as the CoCo Gallery in Bonita Springs, FL.

My artistic journey has led me to wonderful places and great teachers including study at the Maryland Institute of Art, the Redding Academy for Fine Art in Columbia, MD with the guidance of Dorothy Redding, and the Brookside Gardens School of Botanical Art and Illustration in Wheaton, MD where I was privileged to study under Margaret Saul of Siena, Italy and Billy Showell of Turnbridge, England. I was also inspired to launch the Chesapeake Circle of Watercolor Artists in Ellicott City, MD. which served as a coaching support group for fellow local artists seeking certification in botanical art.

Educational Background

My academic journey included a Bachelor of Science from University of Maryland and a Master of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. For over 30 years I found ways to incorporate my love of art into my work at every career level. I held on to the vision of one day being able to devote myself to developing and sharing my art, full time! My passion never waned. I’m happy to say, for the last 10 years, I have enjoyed seeing that dream come true in sunny Fort Myers, Florida with the encouragement and support of Mike, my dear husband.

With every brushstroke, I challenge myself to grow and evolve. Each painting receives meticulous care. My utmost dedication lies in ensuring the complete satisfaction of every customer who brings my art into their lives.
